Rock / Blues / Folk Rock
With a style that draws from traditional folk to modern blues elements, the focus of his lyrical expression is often riddled with metaphor and double meaning. With songs that pry into the vast experiences in one's life growing up as well as the many questions that go unanswered on a more spiritual level, Josh's musical library continues to grow. Josh Taylor has been performing in such legendary venues as The Bitter End and Eddie's Attic in Georgia, and continues to frequent the Greenwich Village music scene.

"Songwriting perfected; a huge influence on REM."
                                                                  --Peter Buck, REM

A unique blend of breezy, bluesy, intimate songs of emotional depth that recall Nick Drake as well as Jobim, but, finally, are all his own. Great humor, too, and a totally original guitar style.

  9:00-10:00pm Jodie Manross

- Boone, NC’s The Mountain Times

“Jodie’s voice is strong, rarefied and, to risk hyperbole, maybe even angelic.”

(Time Out Magazine).

Her debut album, A SMILE IN THE MIND, due early Summer 2007 is best described by Mary as
"three-minute action-packed fragments in time, often setting a filmic or nostalgic mood; while composing and arranging, to paraphrase Burt Bacharach,
I think in terms of miniature movies."

ACTION JACKSON is a pop-machine of distorted proportions.  Featuring jazz violinist Victor Lin, Fiddler/classical composer Kenji Bunch, and
multi-genre cellist/composer Mike Block, they find the best in Pop and jam it out till theres nothing left to jam.  If you come away from their performance with anything, hopefully it will at least be with the feeling that "they exerted a lot of energy!"
  9:30-11:00pm

Fellaheen
Indie/Alternative/Experimental

With melodic, slightly off-kilter tunes and a subtle, understated musicality, Fellaheen carves out a cool piece of aural territory between Tom Waits, Wilco, and the Beatle-y side of Big Star. Swooping upright and fretless basses, clink-clank spooky-toy percussion, and
guitars both sublime and ridiculous intersect to create an
invigorating, philosophically informed listening experience.

Bill Holmes at Pop Culture Press writes that "Fellaheen succeeds in tribal exorcisms, garage-a-delia, and sparse Americana with equal skill... great imagery alongside soul-baring episodes, and just the right sense of humor and the macabre..."

 Anoche
Experimental / Rock / Americana

Anoche is what live music should be - spontaneous, intimate, and genuine. Listening to Dianne Stannish and her band is like one of the those rare moments at a party where someone gets out a guitar and gradually everyone stops talking and realizes they're in the presence of something magical. It's like that, anyway, if the parties you go to are populated by singers with achingly clear voices and a gift for offbeat, haunting lyrics.  --J.W. Mason

  9:30-11:00pm Gina Sicilia
Blues/Soul/Roots Music

As a songwriter, Gina has proven herself to have a deep understanding of American roots music, as well as the ability to compose music that perfectly suits her unique persona. 7:30-9:00pm Neke Carson
“ Heavy Mellow” jazz piano
Neke Carson has developed his own brand of “Heavy Mellow” jazz improvisation at the piano. He recently finished a 6-month engagement at the world-renowned Petrossian Restaurant on 58th St. The New York Times has called him “ a regular fixture on the New York downtown art scene”. He has added solo jazz pianist to the many hats he is constantly wearing. He has given concerts at The Rubin Museum of Art and is preparing for a concert this spring at The Andy Warhol Museum along with an exhibition of his new digital portraits. His lush arrangements of standards have gained him many followers over the years. Mr. Carson goes by the “no note left behind” theory of music. Live @ Vivaldi
Sky Seals
acoustic/rock/pop

Sky is one of the most original, prolific and creative musicians to emerge from Vivaldi's Open Microphone Night.

His lyrics deal with the harsh reality of the city he lives in - New York.  One of his most popular and memorable special shows this year - where he touched on a raw nerve of "Life in the City" - was the " Anti Valentine's Day Show".  It was dedicated to all those romantics who feel that the city lifestyle has robbed them of opportunities for nurturing real love and meaningful relationships.

He is a regular at Vivaldi, packing the venue every time he performs.
  9:30-11:00pm

Brian Sizensky

Brian Sizensky’s musical aspirations started at the age of 16. His father, also a musician, taught him the basics of guitar. That’s all he needed to start writing his own music. Brian studied with professional guitar player Glenn Roth. After hearing Tommy Emmanuel, Brian was
inspired to learn finger style guitar. While attending The School of Visual Arts for Film, he continued to master his musical abilities. Brian has played venues throughout southern Connecticut, quickly
gathering a local following. His passion for writing has developed into a portfolio of original music that is astonishing for such a young
songwriter. It shows the depth and emotion of a writer well beyond his years. Examples of Brian’s music are featured in the SkyTown Entertainment independent movie "Opposites Attract” and the soon to be
released short film “Finding A Match." He resides in New York City and is ready to start sharing his music with the rest of the world.
